Nyala is quite a big antelope. Male is gray in color with 3 – 14 white vertical marking on its body side. The lower part of its leg is yellow-brown in color. Female size is smaller and it has no horn. Its body color is yellow-brown.
It is found in sparse forests, and Savannah grassland near water sources in Africa.
It eats leafs in major with some grasses during raining season.
It stays in small herd. Once there is a change in herd member, mother nyala and the young is the main in herd. Male, normally, stays solitary.
Leaet Concern
Its gestation period is around 220 days. One litter contains only one young.
The weight of female is around 62 kilograms and male is around 108 kilograms.
