Grey-capped Emerald Dove, Common Emerald Dove, Emerald Dove (Chalcophaps indica)

Interesting :

Feathers on its black are fresh green. The area near the tail edge has two white horizontal stripes. The characteristics of male and female are different. The male has white forehead and eyebrow and the crown is grey. The female has darker color and the crown is brown.

Habitat :

Can be found in Asia near India, Islands in Indian Ocean, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Indochina. In Thailand, it can be often found in every region except in the Central. Forest, Artificial/Terrestrial

Food :

The Emerald Dove eats plant seed and some kind of insect; for example, termite for its food.

Behavior :

Lives in the tropical rain forest. It flies not too high and seeks for the food on the ground alone. It often crows with soft voice.
