The shape and the size is the same as the Green Peafowl. The differences are only the brush on its head, which that of the Green Peafowl looks like the knot but that of the Indian Peafowl, when spreading, looks like the fan. The body color of the Green Peafowl is the leaf green but that of Indian Peafowl is blue. There is the white color from the nose to the upper edge of the eyes and the area under the edge of the eyes.

The Indian Peafowl eats the plant seed, fruit, insect and some kind of reptiles.
The Peafowl lives in the dense tropical rain forest and stays in a troop. The male normally makes the field to spread the tail feathers. It will perfectly clean the field. The Peafowl is a very careful bird and has quick eyesight. It is difficult to get close to the Peafowl. It will fly away ahead of that. The Peafowl is very good at flying. It sleeps in the highland and cries in the morning and in the evening. It is not fierce and can perfectly remember its place.This bird lays 5 to 8 eggs each time and the incubation period is 28 days.
